A lot of Christmas Eve activities.

DAY 358 - December 24, 2009

We ran just a couple errands today but mostly made the day about the boys. We went to lunch and also went to a movie...Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel. It was really cute and the boys enjoyed it a lot. One of our errands was to stop at Kmart to pick up a prescription. Kaden and Kaleb both wanted to put some money in the Salvation Army bucket. The lady ringing the bell was having a great time and just singing and dancing the whole time. She offered the bell to Kaden and he took her up on it. I did my usual "embarrass the kids with the camera" act and snapped this one for picture of the day.

Greenwood Police always puts out a radio broadcast about seeing Santa. They describe him well all the way down to his "bowl full of jelly". Here the boys are listening to the radio broadcast. We do this every year but I think this is the first picture I've got of it.

Kaden asked tonight if we could read my "T'was the Night Before Christmas" book. Of course I was thrilled. The boys (and Lilly) and I sat on the couch to read it with Doug close-by in "the king chair" to read. Actually, it ended up being Kaden that read most of the story with me only finishing the last page for him. I think he was getting tired of reading but thought there was much more than one page left. He was surprised when I read that last line and closed the book!
