Christmas Day Happenings.

DAY 359 - December 25, 2009

Lots of Christmas photos to share:

Here's the tree Christmas morning. Unfortunately it looked nothing like this on Christmas Eve. We didn't put any presents under it at all because of Lilly. So, the boys awoke to a tree with tons of new presents under it...some from us and some from Santa. It's not really how I like to do it...after all...much of the fun of Christmas is the days leading up and seeing new presents appear under the tree for you. Checking them out and dreaming about what may be inside is just "part of it"! Maybe next year when Lilly is not so curious...

Reading their Santa letters. Every year Santa writes a letter to each of the boys and tells them what he's seen them doing this year.

Lilly getting into the events of the morning of course. There are rawhide bones in the bottom of this bag!

The boys each buy something for each other and love making it a surprise. They put great thought into their gifts and it really means a lot to Doug and I that they do this every year. Here they are with Kaden's Pez that Kaleb picked out for him. Kaden is up to over 30 Pez now...he just loves them!

Here they are with Kaleb's little elephant statue that Kaden bought. Kaleb is an elephant lover and while I wouldn't say he collects them...he does love them. I think it started with "Ellie" , the stuffed elephant he got as a baby from my mom. He's still got it and sleeps with it. He's also got another Webkinz elephant he's affectionately named "Ellie 2".

Here's Kaleb with his "big gift" from us. He loves his Indiana Jones Lego sets. While we were in Florida we bought these 2 sets from the Lego store in Downtown Disney and had them shipped back home.

This is Kaden's big gift this year. He's been saving his money for Rock Band for the Wii. For those of you who don't know this game it's really fun! It comes with a guitar, a drum set, and a microphone. You sing/play along to the songs and have your own little band going. In the game you "go on tour" and can gain fans and money depending on how well you play.

Tired after a long day...we're at our final stop for the day. This is at Doug's Grandma's house after eating and opening a few gifts. The boys are lounging with their cousin Nick and watching a little of the Christmas Story marathon that is on every year.

Some more lounging time with Dad at Doug's Grandma's house. Some of the family has left and we're just hanging out and enjoying the afternoon.

Can you tell he's had a long day? Here he is laying on his body pillow he got from family (Doug's mom and dad got the pillow and Doug's cousin's family got the pillow cover for him). The boys each got one of these pillows and I'm seriously thinking of getting one. Doug and I both really like them and they are SO COMFORTABLE!!! Each of the boys will use this pillow on their bed now because it stretches all the way across the top and they can put their smaller "character/decorative" pillows away.
