Kaden's first basketball game was today. This is his first year playing and seems to really enjoy it. He's on the 3rd grade team and plays for the Perry Township Youth Basketball organization. His team is the Mustangs. They didn't win this game but it was evident that all the boys had a great time. That's Kaden on the right throwing the ball in for play.
DAY 338 - December 4, 2009
Doug's schedule has been very hectic and his plate very full these last couple weeks. The boys and I were out running errands and decided to leave him a little surprise on his car for him at work. We were going to meet up with him but unfortunately he left his cell phone in his car when we were trying to reach him. Suspecting this, I headed to the Department and found his car sitting outside. We decided to leave his card and surprise on his windshield for him. Luckily it was a cold night because we stopped and got him one of those Nestle Toll House ice cream sandwiches...you know the ones...they've got chocolate chip cookies on each side of vanilla ice cream. I remembered how much he liked them and thought he might enjoy one tonight.
DAY 337 - December 3, 2009
I LOVE this Christmas decoration. I've had it for years and there's just something about it. Santa's beard is frayed strings of some kind and they are so soft! This shelf is the perfect spot for it too...I love the way his beard hangs off the edge.
DAY 336 - December 2, 2009
Tonight we got the tree out to at least start on getting it decorated. This is as far as we got for now. We put it up, fluffed the branches, and put on the lights. The fluffing part is the part I dislike the most. Well, that and just taking it down. Usually by the time we take it down I'm ready to have some normalcy again and just wish I could take the whole thing downstairs lights, ornaments, and all as is so I don't have to do it all over again next Christmas. But, that didn't happen last year (and obviously never will) so here is our start!
