A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

DAY 89 - March 29, 2009

Today after Doug went to work at 2:00pm the boys and I ran a couple errands. Nothing major since it was cold and there were flurries flying so I wanted to be home more than I wanted to be out. We did stop by a new store that just opened up called the Christmas Tree Shops. It was a pretty big store and really had a lot of stuff. There was a lot of seasonal things when you first walked in...right now it is Springtime things and Easter things. It looks like it might be a fun place to stop in now and then for some cute holiday things throughout the year.
They also had some general everyday things...like cards and stationary, candles, home decor stuff, silverware, dishes, linens, a few toys, and lots of different and unique things. I was scoping out out since I came across a "20% off your entire purchase" coupon that isn't good until April 1st...obviously didn't buy anything this time around since I'll be waiting until this weekend when I can make use of the coupon.

DAY 88 - March 28, 2009

This is the picture of the day today. Kaleb and I got to hang out together for a little one on one time since Doug had to work and Kaden went to Jacob's house for a birthday party/sleepover. Kaleb and I got a little Chinese food, his pick and this is what he's been wanting, stopped in at the pet store to look at all the critters, to Half-Price Books, and then home for some Wii time. They rented a game called Boom Blox to try it out and really like it. I have to admit, I'm not so good at these games and I don't think I ever really was very good at video games. This one is on my level though...it's fun and even a bit addicting. Here Kaleb is playing it...

Here are some extra pictures for good measure. The boys got haircuts today and here are the before and after shots. Kaden had been letting his hair grow and it was getting really long! He's also got really thick hair like mine and it was starting to get in the way. I knew this when he put on his baseball helmet and told me that he couldn't see because it pushed his hair down into his eyes. It was then that I knew it was time for a cut. It looks very nice but he was not happy to cut it...he wanted to continue growing it out.
Kaleb's was getting a but unruly as well. We used to get him a flat top from one particular guy at Fantastic Sam's but that guy doesn't work there anymore. It still looks nice and maybe as we get closer to the summer he'll want to shave it all off really close like we like. He didn't want to do that just yet but I'm sure once baseball season really gets going it will be something he wants to do.
