A lot going on today worthy of the picture of the day and, once again, I couldn't decide. SO...here are the first pictures we took. We went to Mug n' Bun on the west side of town for dinner. It's a drive up restaurant with all the usuals like tenderloins, sandwiches, hot dogs, onion rings, root beer, shakes, malts, and floats. Doug's Dad had taken him there once before and the boys and I hadn't been before so we decided to try it out. It was really good...it's been there for more than 30 years I think and seems to be a staple for those that live in the area.
After dinner we drove to the neighborhood where Doug's Grandma used to live (his mom's mom). It was really close to where we ate dinner. As soon as we turned down Wayne Street he immediately recognized it...and there sat the house he remembered so well on the left at the end of the street. Here's the picture we took...it was fun for me and the boys to see that small piece of his childhood.
