What a day! Two pop icons passed away today. Earlier this week Ed McMahon also passed away. They say these things come in 3's and they sure seem to in this instance as well. First, Farrah Fawcett passed away, losing her battle with cancer. She had been fighting the disease for several years and it was slowly obvious she would not win this battle.
Michael Jackson died suddenly today as a result of a cardiac arrest. It's so strange to think that he is dead. He's always been around and, no matter your age, you know who he is. There has been controversy surrounding him and a lot of strange personality traits have emerged through the years. None of that changes the fact that he was first known for is music, his dancing, and his videos. I told Doug that he was our generations' Elvis...not long after I said that the news commented with the same sentiment.
