What a day for pop culture...Michael Jackson's public memorial service was today. They filled Staples Center in Los Angeles, California awarding tickets to those lucky enough to win them from the Internet. On top of that, the service was live on TV and several movie theaters throughout the country even played it on their screens. It was a tasteful celebration of the man and his contribution to music. Sure, there is a lot of drama surrounding him but I did enjoy watching it. At this particular moment his long-time friend Brooke Shields is paying tribute to him. I particularly liked the way the picture of Michael Jackson was on the screen and reaching his hand out. It looked as if he was trying to than her for the things she was saying.
